Hunt Still On For Vibo Valentia SuperEnalotto Winner

Mystery continues to surround the identity of the SuperEnalotto jackpot winner from Vibo Valentia, as the 25th January deadline for them to claim the prize approaches.

It was one of the most memorable draws in SuperEnalotto history, as a single ticket holder ended a remarkable run of rollovers on Thursday 27th October to scoop the second largest prize ever on the game. The lucky player also matched the SuperStar, at odds of 1 in 56 billion, to take home €165.5 million in total.

They bought their ticket at the tabaccheria Lo Bianco on via Dante Alighieri, spending just €3, but shop owner Domenico Lo Bianco admitted at the time he had no idea who the winner was as the store is located in a busy area of the city centre.

A number of rumours have surfaced over the past couple of months, most notably that the ticket belonged to local entrepreneur Pasquale ‘Lino’ Vartuli. However, he dismissed the speculation and reports later suggested the story had been fabricated by a couple of friends of Vartuli’s son.

The winner has just 90 days from the date of the draw to come forward, and must present their ticket at the Sisal offices in Milan or Rome. There are now just a couple of weeks to go, and it remains to be seen whether the lucky player will make their claim in time.

The jackpot has not been won since October and is steadily growing to a huge amount once again, with the latest rollover pushing the top prize up to €73.7 million.
