Superenalotto draw moved from Thursday to Friday

On 17th March it will be the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy and the Italians are going to be enjoying a national holiday. For this reason the Superenalotto draw has been moved from Thursday to Friday as many shops will be closed in celebration. The next jackpot draw for Superenalotto will be on Friday 18th March and as there has still to be a winner for with 6+ the jackpot stands at over €30 million.

On March 17th, 1861 Victor Emmanuel II was proclaimed the King of Italy by Parliament and then just 10 days later, Rome was to become the Capital of Italy. As Italy celebrates the unification of their country with a national holiday, the rest of the world who participate in the Superenalotto wait with baited breath for the draw to take place the following day. Let’s hope that the celebrations continue on 18th March with someone scooping the massive rollover jackpot on the Italian Lottery!

The move gives players an extra day to buy their Superenalotto tickets and if they don’t get lucky on Friday’s draw, there is another just 24 hours later on Saturday evening. Next week the draws return to usual with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday being the hosts for the Superenalotto draw nights.
