SuperEnalotto Jackpot Won by Venice Province Player
A SuperEnalotto player from Caorle, in the province of Venice, has become the game’s second jackpot winner of 2017, picking up €77.7 million in the draw on Tuesday 1st August. The winner successfully matched the winning numbers 1, 8, 28, 54, 82 and 90 to pocket the eight largest SuperEnalotto prize of all time.
The identity of the fortunate player remains unknown, but it has been revealed that they played their €4.50 entry at la tabaccheria Fillipi on viale Santa Margherita in the popular seaside resort town. Given the time of year, there is a good chance the successful punter could be a tourist who took time out from enjoying the town’s beautiful white sand beach and turquoise sea to try their luck at Italy’s most popular lottery.
Katuscia Mattiuzzi, the daughter of the lucky shop’s owner, said she hoped the winner was a local and that they would remember the people that sold them their life-changing ticket. The new multimillionaire now has 90 days to make contact with lottery officials in Milan or Rome and claim their prize.
You can find the full prize breakdown from the winning SuperEnalotto draw at the Results page.
Last night’s big win followed a run of 67 rollovers since the last time someone matched all six main numbers. That success came on 25th February from an entry bought in Mestrino, Padua, also in the Veneto region. The area, which encompasses Venice and Verona, has now seen nine SuperEnalotto winners in the history of the game.
Your next chance to follow suit and win the new €17.2 million SuperEnalotto jackpot comes on Thursday night. Simply pop into a retailer in Italy, or choose your numbers online, wherever you live. Good luck!
