SuperEnalotto Jackpot Winner Collects €77.7 Million

A €77.7 million SuperEnalotto jackpot winner has come forward to claim their prize. The ticket holder, who has opted to remain anonymous, collected their reward from Sisal’s prize office after patiently waiting for 50 days.

The Venetian purchased their ticket for just €4.50 ahead of the SuperEnalotto draw on Tuesday 1st August. The winning playslip was sold at the Sisal Tabaccheria Filippi outlet in Viale Santa Margherita in the seaside resort of Caorle and correctly matched the numbers 1, 8, 28, 54, 82 and 90 to land the eight-figure sum.

Why the Jackpot Winner Left it so Long

Despite wishing to remain nameless, the lucky ticket holder did inform lottery officials that they had not forgotten about the prize, but was instead eager to organise their finances before coming forward. They also stated that they needed to consider their family before making themselves known to staff at the Sisal collection office. Despite their late claim, the victor was still well within the 90 day claim period.

In securing their prize, the fortuitous lottery fan successfully ended a run of 67 rollovers to win the first SuperEnalotto jackpot since February, when a player from Mestrino in Padua picked up a prize worth over €93.7 million.

Win Your Own SuperEnalotto Jackpot

If you would like the chance to join the 2017 winners’ club by securing a prize of your own this evening, you can choose your numbers online or pick up a ticket from any authorised retailer throughout Italy. Good luck!
