SuperEnalotto Winner Receives €21.8 Million Prize

The lucky player who won €21.8 million on SuperEnalotto this summer can look forward to a life of luxury after finally receiving their prize money from officials. The ticket holder, from Acireale in Catania, successfully matched all six main numbers of 22, 27, 29, 49, 69 and 87 on Thursday 16th July to scoop the biggest SuperEnalotto reward of the year so far.

They started the claim procedure in July but had to wait until 91 days had passed since the date of the draw before getting paid. The player, who only spent €2.50 on the winning entry, became the 115th winner of the top prize since SuperEnalotto was launched in 1997. To date, more than €4.3 billion in SuperEnalotto prizes have been awarded to lucky winners.

“Cannot complain, luck often stops us, the jackpot of €21.8 million is the biggest win,” said Sergio Loria, who owns the store where the winning ticket was sold, to Agipronews.

The top prize in SuperEnalotto has continued to roll over since 16th July and has grown to the same value as the last time it was won, €21.8 million, following a rollover on Saturday 17th October. There have still been lots of big winners in the last three months, including the six participants on Saturday who each picked up €39,797 after matching five main numbers.

If you fancy following in the footsteps of the player from Acireale who won €21.8 million, then make sure to buy tickets by playing online, from wherever you are in the world, or by visiting any authorised retailer in Italy. Good luck!
