How to Play Simbolotto
To participate in Simbolotto, you just have to play a specific Lotto wheel and place any type of bet. When you receive your game receipt, a random combination of five numbered symbols will be printed on your ticket. There are 45 different symbols, ranging from No.1 (Italy) to No.45 (Swallow). Simbolotto is free to play and you will automatically be entered as soon as you bet on the relevant Lotto wheel.
The wheel you must bet on will change from month to month. The table below sets out which Lotto wheel is linked to Simbolotto during the period from 2nd July 2020 to 29th June 2021.

If you bet on the 'All' option, you will not be entered into Simbolotto. You have to play the specific wheel in each period to be eligible.
Simbolotto draws are held separately to Lotto draws, always taking place in Rome regardless of the qualifying wheel. The winning numbers are drawn after the 11 Lotto draws have taken place. Five of the 45 numbered symbols are selected at random, and you win prizes if the symbols on your game receipt match the winning numbers.
Prizes and Odds of Winning
You must match at least two of the numbered symbols to win a Simbolotto prize. There are no fixed prizes; instead the amount you win depends on how many numbers you match and how much you bet on the main Lotto game.
Your prize is equal to the amount that you bet on the main Lotto game multiplied by a certain value. The more numbers you match, the bigger the multiplier. For example, if you bet €1 and match three numbers, you win €5.43; if you bet the same amount and match four numbers, you win €54.34 (all amounts pre-tax).
The table below shows the multiplier that will be applied when you match two, three, four or five numbers. The most you can win from a single bet is €10,000.
Numbers Matched | Odds of Winning | Prize Multiplier | Net Winnings (€1 Bet)* |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 1 in 1,221,759 | 5,434.782608 | €10,000 |
4 | 1 in 6,108.79 | 54.347826 | €50 |
3 | 1 in 156.63 | 5.434782 | €5 |
2 | 1 in 12.36 | 1.086956 | €1 |
* The Net Winnings column shows how much you win after tax and other legal withholdings have been deducted from the prize. Withholdings are taken automatically when the prize payment is made. Simbolotto winnings are added to any prizes you win from your Lotto bet, within the limits specified by the Lotto rules.
