The jackpot had climbed to a staggering €223.1 million and, with no limit on how high it can go, there may even have been a chance of it becoming SuperEnalotto’s biggest-ever prize.
The numbers drawn were 8, 13, 16, 52, 64 and 70, with a Jolly of 17 and SuperStar of 21. More than 625,000 players picked up prizes, but only one ticket matched all six of the main numbers.
The winning ticket was bought in Oggiono, in the province of Lecco, at the Sisal Al Chicherin sales point located at Via Milano, 36. It is the tenth time that the jackpot has gone to the region of Lombardy.
No more information was released about the winner immediately after the draw. They now have 90 days to come forward and claim their money at the Sisal offices in Milan or Rome.
Jackpot Stays Above €25 Million Despite Win
Even though the jackpot has just been won, it is still above €27 million ahead of the next draw on Tuesday night. A small percentage of the prize fund is held in reserve every time there is no winner, so after more than a year of rollovers there is a substantial starting pot for the next jackpot run.
It reset to €26 million for Saturday night and nobody hit all six main numbers, so it will now continue growing until there is a winner.
The largest jackpot in history remains the €371.1 million that was won by a syndicate of players across the country in February 2023.
