Search Is On For Winner Of €51.3 Million SuperEnalotto Jackpot

A SuperEnalotto jackpot of €51.3 million was won on Saturday night as a single ticket matched all six main numbers drawn. It is the first time in two months that the top prize has been given away, and the search is now on for the lucky winners after it was revealed that the ticket belonged to a syndicate of players spread throughout Italy.

The winning numbers on Saturday night were 4, 17, 29, 55, 67 and 70, with Jolly 72 and SuperStar 49. More than 500,000 players picked up prizes, including seven participants who matched four main numbers plus the SuperStar to win €33,815 each, and you can find a full breakdown on the SuperEnalotto Results page.

The big story of the night was that the jackpot was finally won for the first time since Tuesday 17th April, when someone from Caltanissetta scooped €130.1 million. The winning ticket was a system entry, consisting of 45 shares of €7 each. Each share was worth just over €1.1 million, and the retailers who sold the winning tickets are now eagerly looking forward to finding out more detailers.

Winning Locations

One of the luckiest stores was the ‘Mystic’ tobacconist on Via Montanara in Casalfiumanese, Bologna. The owner, Marisa Federici, said: “I have loyal customers. I think about five are lucky, but no one has contacted me. It is a wonderful thing, I did not expect any of this. Having recently taken over, about a year ago, it is great to know that I have made several families happy.”

There is also speculation that some of the winners could just have been commuters or holidaymakers, as locals estimate that 50 percent of the players are just passing through on their way to Tuscany.

The other winning shares were sold to Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence), Campobasso, Medicina (Bologna), Atripalda (Avellino), Turin, Novate Milanese (Milan), Milan, Corsico (Milan), Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan), Brescia, Piacenza, Venice, Prato, Peccioli (Pisa), Barletta, Molfetta (Bari), Lamezia Terme (Catanzaro), Reggio Calabria, Rome, Notaresco (Teramo), Penne (Pescara), Naples, Avellino and Teverola (Caserta), Cava de 'Tirreni (Salerno), Agropoli (Salerno) and Castellammare di Stabia (Naples).

SuperEnalotto Systems

Playing a system entry as part of a syndicate has proved successful for many players in the past. The largest jackpot of all time, €177.7 million, was won by a syndicate of 70 players on a ticket bought in Milan.

Systems allow you to play multiple combinations on a single ticket, while joining a syndicate also helps you to split the cost with other players. There are various different types of systems, including integrated, reduced and bases and variants.

Next SuperEnalotto Jackpot

The next SuperEnalotto jackpot will be worth €6.6 million, and you can try to become the second winner in as many draws by either taking part online or visiting an authorised retailer.
