SuperEnalotto Draws to Restart From 4 May

SuperEnalotto Draws to Restart From 4 May

After a six-week suspension due to the coronavirus crisis, SuperEnalotto draws are scheduled to resume on 4th May. Other games, including Eurojackpot and Lotto, are also set to restart.

The Customs and Monopolies Agency issued a decree this week, signed by director Marcello Minenna, announcing that games would resume after more than a month’s hiatus. The decree states that a “gradual resumption of gaming activities” will be enacted over the following weeks, “according to criteria which privilege public health reasons.”

The timetable for the resumption of lottery games, including SuperEnalotto, is as follows:

  • 27 April: Resumption of in-store ticket sales for 10eLotto, MillionDay, Win For Life, and VinciCasa
  • 4 May: Resumption of ticket sales for SuperEnalotto, SuperStar, SiVinceTutto, Eurojackpot, and traditional Lotto draws
  • 5 May: Next SuperEnalotto draw takes place
  • 6 May: Next SiVincetutto draw takes place
  • 8 May: Next Eurojackpot draw in which Italians can participate
  • 11 May: Resumption of the collection of bets on sporting and non-sporting events

The decree also states that the resumption of draws such as SuperEnalotto will be in compliance with health security measures during the ongoing public health emergency, although it doesn’t provide any details about what this means, such as when and where the draws might take place when they resume.

The final SuperEnalotto draw before the suspension took place on Saturday 21 March. If you purchased a ticket for a draw that was scheduled to take place during the suspension, it is important that you hold on to it, as it will still be valid when draws resume.

The Easter 100x100 raffle that was due to take place on 11 April was also cancelled, but in this case the entries for that game are also considered cancelled and are no longer valid. Entry to this raffle was free to those who bought a SuperEnalotto + SuperStar entry for that date – draw number 44 – and although the raffle has been cancelled, the SuperEnalotto entries are still valid.

Considering the continuing threat of coronavirus, playing online will still be the safest way to play once SuperEnalotto draws resume. Tickets will be available online soon, and in the meantime you can still enter other games, including MillionDay, 10eLotto, and Win For Life.
