SuperEnalotto Player From Fermo Wins €156 Million Jackpot

SuperEnalotto Player From Fermo Wins €156 Million Jackpot

A player from the town of Montappone in Fermo, Marche has won the fourth-largest SuperEnalotto jackpot in history. They matched six numbers in the draw on Saturday 22nd May to win €156 million.

The top prize has been growing for almost a year since it was last won by a ticket holder from Sassari in Sardinia in July 2020. On that occasion it was worth €59 million, and the long run of rollovers over the last 10 months has seen the jackpot climb towards record territory.

It was finally won on Saturday as a single entry matched all the main numbers - 1, 7, 37, 43, 63 and 81. Go to the SuperEnalotto Results page for all the details about the draw, including the prize breakdown.

The location where the winning ticket was sold was revealed after the draw, sparking excited local celebrations. It was confirmed that the ticket was sold at the Tabacchi Rivendita 3 store, located in via Roma, 53 in Montappone, a town with a population of around 1,600 people that is best known for its production of hats.

It is only the second time that a SuperEnalotto jackpot has been won in the region of Marche, following a €10 million win back in August 2000.

The winner spent just €2 on their winning selection and now has until 20th August to come forward and collect their prize.

Giammario Mennecozzi, the owner of the Tabacchi Rivendita 3 store, has no idea whether the winner is a local resident or someone passing through, and is just delighted to have played a part in such a wonderful moment.

"An immense emotion, I didn't sleep all night,” Mennecozzi told the media. "This is something that will remain in history as it is the fourth highest win ever. With all that money he can do good to the whole country in these difficult times. "

“He deserves it because only the player who plays wins, even if we cannot speak of a hardened player, having played only €2. He obviously tried his luck and it went well.”

The biggest SuperEnalotto jackpot ever remains the €209 million that went to a player from Lodi in Lombardy in August 2019. The jackpot will now reset to €31.4 million for the next draw on Tuesday and you can take part online now for the chance to become the next big winner.
