SuperEnalotto Player in Arcola Wins €67 Million Jackpot

A player from Arcola in the province of La Spezia has become the first SuperEnalotto jackpot winner of the year, landing a massive prize worth €67.2 million in the draw on Tuesday 28th January.

Winning SuperEnalotto Numbers

The winning numbers were 16, 21, 33, 50, 57 and 89, with a Jolly number of 52 and a SuperStar of 26. There were 377,300 winning tickets on the night, but only one entry matched all six main numbers to take the jackpot.

The lucky player spent just €2 to play the game and purchased their ticket at a tobacconist called Il Quadrifoglio, located on Provincial Road 288 in Arcola. It is the first time the jackpot has been won in the region of Liguria and the winner now has 90 days to come forward and claim their prize.

Apart from the jackpot winner, there were also three participants who matched five main numbers to pick up €61,697 each. Go to the SuperEnalotto Results page for full draw details.

14th Highest Jackpot

The jackpot had been growing since a player from Parma won €66 million on Tuesday 17th September 2019, and it ranks as the 14th-largest prize to have ever been given away in the history of SuperEnalotto. In total, there have now been 123 jackpots won since SuperEnalotto began in 1997.

The jackpot has now been won three times in the past six months, including the record payout of €209 million from last August. The biggest winner of all time bought their ticket in Lodi and finally claimed their money two months later.

Next Jackpot Worth €14.5 Million

A percentage of the prize fund is kept in reserve in every draw and put towards the next jackpot, so there is always a big prize up for grabs even when there has just been a winner. The jackpot for the next draw on Thursday will be €14.5 million.
